Replay & The Sea Bangor festival
Ghostbusters Northern Ireland: A Day of Fun, Food, and Stay Puft!
On the 1st of June, Ghostbusters enthusiasts gathered in Bangor, Co Down, for an unforgettable event. Hosted at Replay, the leading independent gaming and hobby store in Northern Ireland1, the day was filled with excitement, camaraderie, and a touch of nostalgia.
The Sea Bangor Festival
Coinciding with the Ghostbusters event, the Sea Bangor Festival celebrated its 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landing with a 1940s-themed program2. As the maritime heritage of Bangor came alive, festival-goers enjoyed nautical fun both on and off the water. The Eisenhower Pier buzzed with food stalls, music (all in a 1940s theme), walkabout entertainment, and activities for all ages. Bangor Harbour hosted additional water-based activities, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A Stroll Along the Pier
Some Ghostbusters members took a leisurely walk along the pier, exploring the offerings of the Bangor Sea Festival. The salty breeze, the sound of seagulls, and the picturesque views provided the perfect backdrop for their adventure. But what truly stole the show? The delectable food! From fresh seafood to mouthwatering treats, the pier was a culinary delight.
Replay’s Generosity
Replay, our gracious host, went above and beyond. Not only did they provide a fantastic venue for our Ghostbusters gathering, but they also donated a large, limited-edition Tubz Stay Puft figure. This iconic character, known for causing marshmallow mayhem, became the highlight of our raffle. Fans eagerly vied for a chance to take home this collectable treasure.
Gratitude and Memories
As the day unfolded, laughter echoed through the aisles of Replay, and friendships were forged. Ghostbusters Northern Ireland extends heartfelt thanks to Replay for their warm hospitality and generosity. The event was a testament to the enduring love for the franchise and the spirit of community that binds us all.
Stay puft, Bangor! Until our proton packs hum again, we’ll cherish the memories of this unforgettable day.
